Food Quest: Helping Kids Love Food
Created by a parent who understands picky eating, our game gently supports children in building a positive relationship with food.

How Food Quest Works
Food Quest is simple, flexible and fun to use — at home, in classrooms or in clinics. The game is structured across five age-appropriate levels, with 30 cards per level, allowing children to build confidence as they progress.
A parent, caregiver or educator can pick a card and read the “Food Quiz” question aloud, inviting the child to choose an answer and share their thoughts — or children can explore the cards independently at their own pace. The focus isn’t on perfection — it’s on participation and playful learning about food and nutrition.
The “Try This” prompts encourage reflection and conversation. “Did You Know?” deepens understanding, while the “Giggle Bite” humour keeps things light and engaging.
Use Food Quest as a quick daily activity, a dinner table conversation starter, or a supportive tool for selective or anxious eaters. There are no complicated rules and no time limits — just pick a card and begin.
What Is Food Quest?
Food Quest is a fun and engaging card game and downloadable app designed to make learning about food simple, positive and enjoyable.
Each card features a multiple-choice Food Quiz question that builds knowledge and confidence in an easy, approachable way. A simple “Try This” prompt sparks curiosity and conversation, while a fascinating “Did You Know?” food fact turns everyday learning about food and nutrition into an enjoyable adventure.
To keep things light, every card also includes a “Giggle Bite” — an age-appropriate, food-related joke that brings a little extra laughter to the table.
Food Quest transforms everyday food conversations into moments of learning, confidence and connection — one card at a time.

Our Story
Food Quest began as a single father’s way of helping his son feel safe and confident around food again. When my son was struggling with an eating disorder, we were surrounded by appointments and advice — but what we really needed was something gentle, playful, and supportive in our everyday life.
Drawing on my 25 years as an educational toy designer, I started creating simple cards to spark calm conversations at mealtimes. Those small moments rebuilt trust between us and helped my son talk, think, and laugh again.
What began as homemade cards has grown into Food Quest — a gentle, imaginative learning game that helps children build a healthier relationship with food and strengthens the connection between kids and the people who care for them.
Food Quest was born from a personal journey — and shaped with the hope that many families, in many different situations, can find comfort, confidence, and joy in exploring food together.

A Heartfelt Medical Disclaimer
I want to be completely honest: I’m not a doctor, psychologist, dietitian, or any kind of medical professional. I’m just a single dad who was trying his very best to help his son through an incredibly tough and frightening chapter of his life. Food Quest grew out of love, hope, and many moments of trial and error — not medical training.
The support we received from doctors, psychologists, dietitians, and specialists was incredibly important. Their guidance played a vital role in my sons recovery, and nothing in Food Quest is meant to replace that kind of professional care. It was simply something I could offer at home — a small, gentle way to bring more calm, connection, and understanding into our daily life.
If your child is struggling, please rely on the expertise of qualified health professionals. Food Quest is only a companion tool, created by a parent, to support conversation and connection along the way.
